Hello! I am Jo Burke an author, actor and comedian. My debut comedy book 'iScream' reached No.17 on Amazon and continues to receive five-star reviews. I wrote, produced and performed five, four-star, Edinburgh Festival shows  and was a “So You Think That’s Funny?” finalist. In 2020 I created a FREE podcast Real Folk with Jo Burke.  I also run bespoke acting, confidence and comedy workshops for adults, children and businesses.

My husband, Phillip Price was born in Folkestone and is a self-taught artist and a science teacher. He has been painting and drawing since the age of nine. He runs beginners workshops on technique using watercolour, acrylic, oil or graphite. He has a passion for nature and the human form. Working from his own photos and model shoots, enables him to create the final composition for each painting. 

In 2016 we created our children's book brand which now includes five titles. Our unique books and gifts are eco-friendly (no mass printing or production, even our gift-wrap can be used as drawing/writing paper!) importantly they are not gender-specific. Phil and I do everything except print our books. They are a labour of love and each book is signed by us, with an optional person message. They are exclusively available from us.

Custard HQ was born in 2019 when I found the perfect creative space for us on Folkestone's stunning Old High Street. We would love to meet you in the real world at Custard HQ, 42 The Old High Street, Folkestone CT20 1RN. It is where you will find me writing and Phil painting.
